[3DS] Rune Factory 4 ROM
Game Files Information
Rune Factory 4 Description
Rune Factory 4 is the only game in this popular adventure farming series available on the Nintendo 3DS system. Released in late 2013, the game achieved a green score on Metacritic and received mostly positive reviews from both new and returning players.
The game has also received a remake on the Nintendo Switch, but for us, the original playing experience remains the best. If you’re looking for the original ROM file of Rune Factory 4 to play on an emulator, you’ve come to the right place. We have uploaded the ROM file of this game in *.3ds format so you can play it directly on an emulator.
Rune Factory is a top-down farming RPG series that can be seen as a spin-off from the earlier Harvest Moon series. However, Rune Factory has forged its own path to avoid being considered a cheap imitation of Harvest Moon. Most releases have been well-received, and Rune Factory 4 is one of the best titles.
Storyline
In Rune Factory games, something always happens to the main character that makes them forget everything. In this case, we fall from the sky and land on a dragon. The dragon then tells us to become a sort of prince of this land to bring more people here through tasks like tending crops and all that sort of thing. There are three main story arcs in this plot, each addressing a specific problem such as freeing protectors, defeating something or someone, and reviving someone. The storyline isn’t particularly original or full of unexpected twists, but it’s a charming tale. Additionally, there are many side stories for the game’s main cast. Some of these events are hilarious, and others are truly silly.
Traditional Farming Gameplay Combined with Dungeon Adventure
Rune Factory 4 begins by immediately presenting optional questions to set up your adventure. The game is kind enough to warn you about the meaning of each answer for your playthrough, and you’ll complete this fairly quickly. You’ll meet the main character soon after as your story begins hastily on an Airship. Dialogue is displayed in the bottom third of the screen along with sound effects that try to match the tone of the speaking character.
You’ll spend about 30 minutes exploring the town, running through tutorials before realizing you’ve played this game before. You definitely have played this game before, probably seven years ago with fewer anime elements and a slightly stricter energy system. Your crop-growing loop will begin fairly early as you try to build an agricultural empire. Like similar games, there are three main things to aim for in your empire: expanding the farm, making friends, and conquering dungeons.
There’s a lot you can do in this game, and it can range from really basic to complex. For example, tending to crops is theoretically easy, but there are four seasons and the types of vegetables, fruits, and trees you can grow are only best suited for certain seasons.
The dungeons aren’t the most impressive aspect of this game, but they become quite useful for collecting some rare materials. There are several dungeons throughout the game, some simple and others extremely difficult. This is where the most complex things appear. You can forge equipment, make medicine, and cook to explore these dungeons. There’s a point in the game where you’ll need to forge weapons with various materials of different levels, and it’s worth noting that you can absolutely create a weapon from honey, vegetables, and minerals. Without standard equipment, it’s an impossible task or perhaps a very tedious grinding task. You can explore these dungeons with pet monsters or townspeople. If you enjoy games like The Legend of Zelda from the Game Boy Color era, Rune Factory 4 will likely appeal to you. The downside is that to progress well throughout the game, you’ll need to focus on many activities, which can sometimes become a bit tedious. But apart from that, its gameplay is really solid and enjoyable.
Impressive Graphic Style
Rune Factory combines various art styles, which can sometimes be jarring when transitioning from static top-down backgrounds to RPG-style dialogues and full anime-style introductions for some characters. Overall, it looks vibrant and enjoyable; it’s just that the changing styles can sometimes catch you off guard.
Excellent soundtracks
This game has some truly great music tracks, some very soothing and others with extraordinary rhythms. If the in-game activities sometimes become monotonous, the wonderful background music is exactly how they become engaging again.
