The story begins very “Kirby”: while strolling along, Kirby comes across a strange eggplant, and with his nature of never saying “no” to food, our puffball Kirby naturally “enjoys” the treat. Only this time, the eggplant isn’t food, but a trap set by the sorcerer Yin-Yarn. He pulls Kirby into the world of Patch Land – a place where everything is sewn from yarn, from trees and houses to even the enemies.

But Kirby isn’t flustered at all. Despite losing his renowned air-inhaling ability, the pink puffball maintains his adventurous spirit. Granted the power to “turn yarn into weapons,” Kirby teams up with Prince Fluff to stitch Patch Land back together, which has been torn apart, by collecting pieces of fabric and “sewing” the world anew!

When Adventurous Exploration Becomes a “Sewing” Expedition

Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn is a classic 2D platformer, but the special thing is that you can’t die, there’s no health bar, no lives, only Beads that serve as a measure of achievement. You’ll control Kirby using a “yarn whip” to grab enemies, twist them into balls, and throw them like projectiles. Kirby can also transform according to each level: into a mini-car, a submarine, a hot air balloon, or even a fabric-sewing robot that shoots bullets like in an action movie. Each level is a creative stage where you have to pull zippers to open paths, flip fabric to create walkways, and perform all sorts of transformations.
