3DS Fan Translation Projects Collections Description
Greetings, dear friends!
On this page, we host a comprehensive collection of Nintendo 3DS ROMs that have been translated and shared by the dedicated fan community. This library will be updated whenever new releases surface, though we expect updates to be infrequent at this stage of the console’s lifecycle.
The Nintendo 3DS remains one of the greatest handheld consoles of all time, boasting a legendary library of games. However, for many of us, the language barrier has often stood in the way of a complete experience. You may have heard of “Import ROMs”—titles released exclusively for a specific market (mostly Japan) without an international version. Because these games were intended for domestic sale only, they typically only support their native language.
For a fan, playing a game you love without understanding the story is a true test of patience. This struggle is exactly what drives the community to produce and share fan translations—adding new languages to these Import ROMs while keeping the core gameplay untouched.
In this post, I have curated and compiled a list of the best 3DS Fan-Translated ROMs. Every file has been thoroughly tested and runs flawlessly on emulators.
Why Should You Use Fan-Translated ROMs?
- Breaking the Language Barrier: You can now enjoy games without any linguistic hurdles. This provides the ultimate experience, allowing you to fully grasp the plot, tutorials, and in-game lore.
- Community Passion: These translations are often meticulously polished in terms of semantics and style, crafted by people who truly love the games.
- Completely Free: Most of these projects are community-driven labors of love. They are shared for free to spread the passion for gaming. You can download them easily right here.
How to Play
- All files have been compressed by us in 7zip format, so you will need to decompress them. We recommend using 7zip or Winrar.
- The ROM file after decompression is in *3ds format. You can use a suitable Nintendo 3DS emulator to play it. We recommend Citra Emulator or Panda3DS for Windows, MacOS, and Mobile. -> Check Guide Here
- All game information in the ROM Info section is taken from the first file we uploaded. Some games have multiple releases for different markets such as Europe, America, Japan, Korea, etc. Most of the content is the same except for the language pack. You need to pay attention to the file name to distinguish them.
