Game Files Information
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D Description
Imagine a day for monkeys. What do you think they would do? Surely you are thinking they just know to climb, mess around, and eat bananas? If only that, then Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D on Nintendo 3DS will make your eyes “bright” right away. This is a remake version of that legendary Wii game, bringing the whole fun, challenge, and endless banana fun onto a small handheld machine, so you can jump dance everywhere with Donkey and Diddy Kong!
The Story Starts from Bananas Getting Stolen
One beautiful day, those bad Tikis came to Donkey Kong Island, hypnotizing all kinds of animals and stealing clean Donkey’s huge banana storage. As the “boss” of the island, Donkey Kong immediately, with his nephew Diddy, rushed into the journey to win back each single banana, and also teach those Tikis a lesson they will remember forever. You will control Donkey or Diddy (or both if playing with friends), overcoming all types of terrains: deep jungles, caves, volcanoes, beaches, and even… mine carts that are super thrilling, to get justice back.
Graphics 3D Smooth, Sparkling with Colors
The 3D version not only keeps the beautiful stage design of the Wii version, but also adds an impressive depth effect on the 3DS screen. This makes you feel like you are lost in a living tropical forest, where every leaf, volcanic smoke, or winding track appears right in front of your eyes. The visuals are nice to look at, making the environment pop out. It helps immerse you much more into Donkey Kong’s world, feeling the jungle even when you are just holding your 3DS. It’s truly like stepping right inside the game’s world, quite directly.
Playing Mechanism Both Familiar, Also New
The playing style is still the classic run, jump, smash, and somersault, but with a series of Donkey’s “signature” moves like ground pounds, rolling, vine swinging, and riding his rhino friend Rambi. Especially, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D has a new, gentler playing mode (called New Mode) with more supporting items, helping new players be less “bruised” when facing those super hard levels. This new mode makes it much more friendly for people who may have found the original game too difficult. It means more people can try and enjoy the game, without feeling too much pain. The core challenge remains for those who want it, but is now more flexible.
Levels Full of Drama
Not only having those jumping actions on tree branches, the game also has “heart-stopping” mine cart races, riding rockets flying through caves, or escaping from rockslides… These continuous challenges make you both laugh and sweat. You will immediately get a refreshing feeling when you win a level, as the challenge is both attractive and not too boring. Every level brings something new and surprising, like you never know what’s coming next, which is good for keeping players engaged. This constant variety stops the game from getting old quickly, which is important for this type of platformer.
